Shimla: Himachal Pradesh high court on Monday directed the HC appointed
committee to submit its report on Shimla airport within one week.
The high court had formed the committee to suggest and take steps to make Shimla airport operational as early as possible. The matter will be listed on October 27 for further hearing.
The court on January 9 had constituted the committee comprising secretary, ministry of civil aviation; chairman, Airport Authority of India; chairman-cum-managing director, Air India; airport director, Shimla airport; principal secretary (tourism) Himachal Pradesh; deputy commissioner, Shimla; deputy commissioner, Solan; and engineer-in-chief, HPPWD.
