Tirupati: The terminal building of the international airport at the
temple city of Tirupati is all set for inauguration by Prime Minister
Narendra Modi on October 22, coinciding with the auspicious ‘Vijaya
Dasami’.
The terminal, developed in an area of 16,500 sq.m. at a cost of Rs. 175 crore, can handle 700 passengers a day, while the parking lot can accommodate 300 cars, according to Airport Director V.V. Rao. Apart from Mr. Modi, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Union Minister for Civil Aviation P. Ashok Gajapati Raju are among the delegates expected to take part in the inaugural.
