Oman Air increases frequencies to Kochi, Lucknow, Jaipur, Goa and Bangalore



Mumbai, November 20th 2015: Oman Air, the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman, today announced that effective December 01, 2015, it is set to increase frequencies for some of its key destinations in India. As a major move, the airline now doubles its connectivity from Muscat to Bengaluru and Kochi and will operate 11 flights to Lucknow and 10 flights to Jaipur, weekly. Adding frequency to Goa, Oman Air will now fly daily from Muscat as compared to 6 flights per week.

With the increase in the number of flights, Oman Air will now offer more than 5000 additional seats to these key Indian sectors and will operate Boeing 737-800 and 737-900 aircraft. Once the uplift in frequencies has been introduced, Oman Air will operate a total of 126 flights per week between Muscat and its destinations in India.


Oman Air flies to 19 destinations in the Indian subcontinent that include the core lands of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives, out of which 11 destinations in India.

With the additional seats, the airline foresees immense potential for increased traffic, both business and leisure, on various sectors that it connects to in the Gulf, Middle East, African and European countries.

The state of the art in-flight entertainment system features individual seatback screens, audio and video on demand and live satellite TV. In addition, Oman Air has pioneered both mobile telephony and Internet connectivity on board its flights for economy, business and first class. The new First and Business Class lounges at Muscat International Airport, feature elegant and tranquil relaxation areas, complimentary spa treatments and à la carte dining in addition to premium check-in facilities and a First Class lounge-to-aircraft limousine service.

The airline added another milestone this year by launching the Oman Air mobile app to enhance customer travel experience.
