Air India told to file affidavit on pilot posting

Kochi: The Kerala High Court on Tuesday directed Air India to file an affidavit in response to a writ petition challenging its decision to select and appoint 80 trainee pilots from among its employees.

When the petition came up, counsel for Air India assured the court of Justice Alexander Thomas that though the selection process was on, the appointment of the select would be deferred.

The petition was filed by S.G. Saji and another person from Thiruvananthapuram. According to them, Air India invited application for 80 vacancies of pilots by a notification issued on January 13, 2016.
