Low-cost carrier SpiceJet said it was introducing three new Boeing 737-800 jets as it ramped up its operations for the winter by introducing 8 new flights and an equal number of new connections.
With the introduction of the new and additional flights, SpiceJet will operate 334 flights a day.
The Boeing 737 is an American short-to medium-range twin-jet narrow-body airliner.
The 737 is Boeing’s only narrow-body airliner in production, with the 737 Next Generation (-700, -800, and -900ER) variants currently being built.
The new flights have been introduced to connect Bengaluru, Goa, Guwahati, Chennai and Ahemadabad to cater to the seasonal demand.
“The induction of three new aircrafts will cater to the enhanced seasonal demand whilst offering flexibility to customers with more flight options to choose from,” said Shilpa Bhatia, Sr. VP, Commercial, SpiceJet.”Besides, with the introduction of additional direct flights, the schedule will offer seamless connectivity to business and leisure travellers alike.”
