Madurai gets second direct air link to Bengaluru

Madurai got its second direct air link to Bengaluru with SpiceJet re-introducing its Bengaluru-Madurai-Bengaluru daily flight services on Wednesday.
Jet Airways is already operating in this sector.
SpiceJet will operate a 78-seater Bombardier Q 400 aircraft. Initially, the flight will land in Madurai at 12.40 p.m. and leave for Bengaluru at 1 p.m.

But the landings and take offs in Madurai will shift to evenings from October 29.
It will leave Bengaluru at 2.30 p.m. and reach Madurai at 3.45 p.m.

In the return direction, the flight will take off at 4.05 p.m. and land in Bengaluru at 5.20 p.m.
“It is a good link between the IT city and temple city. This sector has good potential for leisure and business travellers,” said N. Sriram, a leading travel agent.
The second flight service will give an additional choice for passengers of southern districts.
Besides, it will also open up the onward connectivity for people around Madurai to reach various north Indian destinations from Bengaluru.
