Pune: Passengers flying out of Pune no longer have to bother about going hungry. For, they can finally expect to have plenty to munch on while waiting to board their flights.
With five outlets up and running at the departure area and selling everything from non-alcoholic beverages, sandwiches, dry fruits, patties, shakes and juices, besides books and clothing, and more such outlets in the pipeline, it is as good as it gets for flyers who, until recently, had hardly any appetising options.
"I travelled from Pune after a long time and it came as a nice surprise to me. I had to board my flight from the first floor of the departure area and saw many outlets selling snacks. The last time I was at the airport, there was only one outlet. Moreover, in addition to food stalls, there are shops selling books, gift items, shoes etc," Jatin Sabarwal, a Pune-based working professional hailing from Kolkata, told TOI.
